snow day

today we had a snow day
a rare thing in college
so they say

twelve inches
covering the land
me with no boots

i got word at 7:00
my roomy woke me
thanks for sharing

but i couldnt fall back to sleep
tossed and turned
looking out the window

then at 9:00
went to film a commercial
for my tv show

no rest for those in tv
24 hours a day
work

was up till 1
working on the script
with the director
*we didn't tape the show today!
